Circa 1920, an unusual stylish carved oak open bookcase, with a polished top and a Greek key decoration below. The bookcase is in two sections, each with adjustable solid oak shelves with polished fronts. In the centre there is a large carved figure with a carved capitol above his head and a decorative plinth as his base. Both the gables have a rebate which is also carved with swag at the top and bottom. There is a shaped frieze below the bottom section and the bookcase stands on carved squat feet. Good colour and condition.
