Circa 1900, bentwood occasional table. With the makers label 'Fischel' and the trade label beneath with Czech writing, and 'made in the Czechoslovak state'. The table has a figured top and lower tier which are both quarter veneered and the top has a very thin edge with circular apron. From this are 4 classic Bentwood legs, turned at the top and splayed as they go beneath the 2nd tier. The 2nd tier is similar to the top and enclosed in a complete circular bezel. The legs are screwed to the bezel, typical of Bentwood furniture and give the table stability.
