    Antique Antique Victorian Mahogany Bookcase on Chest of Drawers c1860 w7543/2.9

    Antique Victorian Mahogany Bookcase on Chest and dating form around 1860. Completely original and constructed from quality mahogany it has a flared cornice top above a deep cross banded and moulded frieze and with two arched glazed panelled doors with carved acanthus corbal supports to each corner. Internally there are two adjustable shelves. To the base there is a long moulded frieze drawer ( matches the frieze to the top of the cornice) above three long drawers all of which are pine lined and with turned mahogany knob handles inset with mother of pearl and with carved corbal supports to each side. It stands on a double turned bun foot. Top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

     
    Measures: 87" high x height to top of base 43" x 21" deep ( internal depth 8.5" ) and 46" wide
     
    A very nice all original antique Victorian Mahogany Bookcase on Chest and in very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
