Circa 1920 with alterations. Victorian-style inlaid burr walnut open bookcase. The polished top with burr and figured walnut with boxwood string, inlay above a foliate inlaid frieze with cast brass mounts. The bookcase with three adjustable shelves, now hand-painted in a Swedish grey colour, and flanked by simple columns with boxwood inlay and brass mounts. The sides in nicely figured burr walnut and all sitting on a plinth base. Both a decorative and functional item of furniture.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
