An attractive Victorian burr walnut writing table of neat proportions, c.1870. The rectangular top displays a well-figured burr walnut surface with fine colour and patina, above two frieze drawers fitted with turned wooden knobs. Raised on elegant turned and reeded legs united by a shaped stretcher, and standing on castors, the piece combines functionality with refined 19th century design. Its compact size makes it ideal as a writing table, side table, or hall table in both period and modern interiors.
