Victorian Burr Walnut & Inlaid Centre Table
Item Code: LC1374
A superb Victorian burr walnut centre table, richly inlaid and beautifully figured, dating from the mid-19th century. The oval burr walnut top displays exceptional grain patterning enhanced by fine floral marquetry and stringing, creating an elegant and highly decorative surface. The table is raised on a finely carved quadraform base with turned supports, scrolling legs and distinctive carved paw feet, all adding to its stately presence and Victorian character.
The top shows a few very small, natural surface blisters, entirely typical of burr walnut of this age. These are subtle, do not detract from the appearance or structure, and sit comfortably within the table’s warm, time-earned patina.
