This is a fine quality, matched pair of French Walnut Bedside Cabinets, or Pot cupboards

They date to the early years of the 20th Century and have their original marble tops and marble linings to the cupboards.
They are both in excellent condition and elegantly designed on fine cabriole legs.

Although there are differences in the design they both probably came from the same workshop.

Customers who take an interest in the background and history of antique pieces, as I am, might like to know that inside one of these cabinets there was a tiny hand written snippet of an old letter in French, and two old receipts for wine purchased in Paris in February and June 1914,just before the outbreak of World war 1 - see photo's. I will of course send these with the cabinets when they are purchased - Mark
