This is a small Georgian country oak chest of drawers.

It would date to the middle of the 18th century but shows features of earlier 18th Century design.

The bun feet are old but replacements, the handles also, though there is no scarring to the drawer fronts from replacement sets of different sizes.

The backboards and carcass are all original and sound.
The drawers have dovetailed oak sides and pine bottoms, all original too, and are fitted with their steel locks. The drawer runners are oak and run smoothly, and the drawer stops all present and do their job.

A fine provincial oak chest of particularly small size.

Dimensions: 32 wide, 19 inches deep, 29.5 inches high
