A set of 8 carved solid oak and barley sugar dining chairs, consisting of six side chairs and two armchairs, each with a curved and carved top rail, with ribbed and carved uprights, the armchairs with shaped arms supported on barley sugar uprights, with drop in seats with solid rails, back legs are square and slightly out swept, front legs with barley sugar design with a turned foot, the legs braced by conforming stretchers.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
