Circa 1710, rare set of 4 Queen Anne walnut dining chairs. They are all in walnut and walnut veneer with bended back and a finely carved scallop shell in the curved front rail. The in-curved crest rail is surmounted by a small scroll and shaped top rail. The chairs have a solid shaped splat and fine needlepoint on all the shaped drop in pads. The back legs are slightly outswept and the front legs sweep down in curvaceous elegance to a simple pad foot.
