Circa 1820, set of 3 George IV mahogany dining chairs comprising of two side chairs and one armchair. The chairs have stylish ribbed uprights and very unusual back with an oval open section with two cross over circles. There is a turned section, open fretwork and the back is very stylish in appearance. The arms finish in a small turning and are supported by turned uprights. Each of the chairs has a drop in seat, and a deep apron at the front of the chairs which is bowfronted. The front legs are square tapering and the back legs are square and swept out. The chairs are supported by an unusual shaped stretcher system. The chairs have excellent colour and good patination.
