Circa 1820. Rare pair of large Regency cane upholstered gilt and ebonized bergère chairs. The gilded, shaped and fluted top rail supported on a row of roundels above a cane upholstered back with detachable silk covered pad. With shaped gilded and ebonized arms partially upholstered ending in scrolls above a generous caned seat with silk upholstered feather filled squabs. The shaped and fluted arm supports extending down to unusual outswept front supports. With matching rear supports and original deep brass square cups and castors. In beautiful condition.
