Circa 1850. Quality 19th Century Dutch burr walnut display case/bookcase with canted sides. Surmounted by moulded arched cornice over two shaped doors with original glazing with rounded bars, opening to interior with adjustable shelves with grooves for displaying plates (if needed). The angled sides with arched glazing. The base with two drawers with engraved brass handles and escutcheons and solid oak drawer linings. Standing on four octagonal tapered legs with ringed turnings over a shaped low stretcher over bun feet. In excellent condition with a lovely colour and patina

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
