Circa 1780 and later, good pair of tall and elegant mahogany torcheres. The solid mahogany circular dished tops, over a circular bezel and a wonderful tapering fluted upright. As the column tapers it hits a circular ring and then there is a further turned section almost in the form of a vase. The whole piece finishes on 3 elegant stylish cabriole legs with pad feet. Most of these torcheres were made from George III four poster beds. The pair have good colour, and are very stylish.
