Circa 1850, pair of mid-19th century inlaid walnut Italian Renaissance-style hall chairs. The arched panelled backs on shaped side supports with extensive Certosina boxwood and bone geometric inlay, containing central ebony panels with beautifully inlaid bone figures of a Nobleman and Noblewoman. The solid seats with further geometric ebony panels, bone and boxwood inlay with small central figureheads. On curved X supports with shaped cross stretcher over raised plinths, all extensively inlaid.
