Circa 1780. A good quality George III serpentine fronted fold over mahogany card table. The top with well figured mahogany, carved fore edge, is hinged and opens to reveal a cross banded interior lined with felt. To the front there is a shaped frieze with a carved beading. The back legs are hinged and swing out to support the card table when it is open. The whole piece rests on four elegant turned, tapering and fluted legs with reeding applied towards the base, finishing on a simple turned toe. The clean sturdy with good colour and patination.
