Circa 1780, stylish George III mahogany tambour fronted bedside cabinet. The top in nice figured mahogany has a wrap around three quality gallery with carved out lifting handles on the back and sides. Beneath this is a simple apron and a tambour door which opens from right to left indicating that it was probably one of a pair. The tambour is made of fine strips of mahogany which are taped to felt. The legs are square with reeding on the fore edge and continue to the top, finishing in nice roundels. Fine piece of Georgian furniture. In pairs these sell from £7,000-£10,000.
