Circa 1920s. A George II style shaped floor standing cabinet, the top with burr walnut, with herringbone inlay and broad cross-banding with stylish moulded fore-edge, the front with a bank of three drawers with similar herringbone and banding as the top, each with cast brass swan neck handles with a pierced back plate and escutcheon, the chamfered sides each with a pair of doors with three faux drawers similar to the front, beneath the cupboards and drawers there is an elegant moulding all resting on bracket feet which follow the form of the top

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
