Circa 1860. Exhibition-quality four door Victorian carved burr walnut cabinet bookcase. Surmounted by a moulded, foliate carved cornice above 4 arched glazed doors with shield and foliate carved crests, cast brass handles and escutcheons and Brahma locks, opening to adjustable shelving. The base in mirror-matched figured walnut and a cavetto frieze above 4 further glazed shorter doors. The sides flanked by columns with carved capitals and corbels; all over a moulded enclosed plinth base.
