early victorian mahogany chest of drawers

Circa 1840, early Victorian mahogany chest of drawers, the mahogany top with a moulded edge. Below the top is configuration of 2 short drawers over 3 larger drawers, with unusual circular brahma style escutcheons and original squat bun handles. It has the original locks stamped V.R., and oak liners and oak runners. There is a moulded edge on the bottom and the chest stands on 4 bun feet. The chest is of large proportions and is of exhibition quality, typical of country house furniture.
