chinese rectangular side table

Circa 1900, beautiful Chinese rectangular side table. The top has a rosewood frame and the centre has a burr amboyna panel. Below the top is a shaped apron with a Chinese style relief carving on the front, and similar on the gables and sides. The table stands on turned legs with quarter brackets on the sides and back with open fretwork. Towards the bottom, the legs have a carved foot almost in the form of a mask, and are united by stylish shaped stretchers on three sides. Fantastic colour and excellent condition, sturdy and usable table.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
