This is an antique travelling vanity box. An English, leather bound campaign correspondence case, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

• Delightfully comprehensive travelling case, with pleasing period finish
• Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
• Leather bound case with blue interior finish
• Extends to reveal a suite of compartments and features
• Brass shield lock escutcheon to front — key absent

• Trio of opening lids dressed with small brass sliding clasps
• Original mercury glass mirror in heavily aged condition - no longer reflective - fits neatly beneath the top compartment
• Fold out handle for ease of carriage - engraved with registered mark
• Two quality glass bottles with silver plate lids in very good order

This is an appealing antique travelling vanity or correspondence box. Nicely aged, with a fascinating extending form. Delivered ready to enjoy.
