This is an antique Sutherland table. An English, burr walnut gate-leg oval occasional table, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

• Rich in colour and exuding fine craftsmanship
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
• Superb burr walnut stocks present a fine grain interest
• Warm caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish

• Extending to useful breakfast table or tea service proportion
• Substantial drop leaves extend the seating area into a generous oval for four
• In the folded position, a usefully narrow profile is ideal for storing in the smaller room

• Pair of wheeled gate legs add support for each demi-lune leaf
• Stout baluster supports terminate in pairs of graceful cabriole legs
• The whole riding smoothly upon a set of six brass castors

This is an attractive antique Sutherland table, with fine colour and delightful grain interest. Ideal for occasional use and compact when folded. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
