walnut and burr walnut display cabinet

Circa 1930, walnut & burr walnut display cabinet. The cabinet has a polished top, stylish cornice with ogee flat sections, and concave beaded canter corners. Both gables are glazed and inside there are 3 glass shelves which are adjustable. At the moment the shelves are lined perfectly with the astragals. At the front there are 3 glazed doors with stylish astragal glazing at the top and square bars beneath. The drawers have their original keys, locks and stylish cast brass drop handles. At the bottom of the astragal section there is a solid shelf and beneath this there are 3 burr walnut panels. The fore edge which is canted has herringbone banding. Beneath the bottom door there is an ogee moulding and a cross banded apron, and all stands on cabriole legs with carved shells on the knees. There is an extra leg in the centre at the front for stability. The whole piece is clean, stylish, good quality for its age.
