"Marshall Improved Air & Watertight Chest" dated 1917 . This example retains its original paintwork and some paper labels. Heavy robust travel/campaign trunk: Tin lined, wooden frame and steel banding to the corners etc. Working locks and key.This example belonged to the Rev Edwin Aubrey Storrs-Fox (1888 - 1975) the son of a prominent Victorian family. Edwin's professional life and travels are well documented and his papers/photographs are in various museums inc the British Museum.
Presented refurbished, to include appropriate repairs, thorough clean in and out and re waxed - no refurbishment of the paintwork undertakenClean inside and lockable. Ideal height and size for a coffee table
