This Victorian walnut coffee table was made circa 1875. NOW SOLD
Of oval shape it stands on the solid walnut base, with carved legs and feet.
The cabinetmaker using his craft to inlay the patterns of floral marquetry and stringing to make this a very attractive centrepiece for your drawing room.
There were no coffee tables made until the 20th c as people lived in a different style, so this was formerly of a greater height then was reduced in height to fit in the modern needs for such items.
