victorian inlaid figured walnut credenza

Circa 1850. Mid Victorian quality inlaid figured walnut credenza. The shaped top in mirror matched figured walnut with a lovely mellow colour and nice patina, above a boxwood and marquetry inlaid frieze with embossed brass banding. The central door in mirror matched figured walnut with seaweed marquetry inlaid corners and brass mounts opening to shelved interior and flanked by ormolu mounted pilasters. Two curved corner doors opening to shelved interior with further inlaid ormolu mounted pilasters to the side. All over a shaped plinth base.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
