victorian mahogany counter top display cabinet

Circa 1870, unusual Victorian mahogany counter top display cabinet, with a carved surmount containing an arched mirror with a gold painted edge. At the back is a hinged door with a mirror back. The front is curved glass held in position by a mahogany bezel. The sides of the cabinet are also mahogany. Inside is a single glass shelf held in place by a rebate and the rest of the interior is covered in paper with a foliate pattern. The front of the cabinet has an applied moulding with a small shaped apron. Excellent condition, stylish and unusual.
