Circa 1860, Victorian inlaid satinwood kidney shaped writing table in the French taste. The cross banding and inlaid top lies above a well-shaped frieze and apron which contains a serpentine concaved shaped drawer. The chamfered legs are cross banded in kingwood, and it is polished on all sides (making it free standing).

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
