Circa 1870, Victorian burr walnut occasional table. The rectangular top has chamfered corners, burr walnut quarter veneers, string inlay, crossbanding and an ebonised moulded edge. Below the edge is a simple apron. The table stands on four elegant turned tapering fluted cabriole legs finishing on an unusual spiky brass bezel and white porcelain castors. All the legs are united to each other with an X framed cross stretcher which is again turned and fluted, and in the centre is a wonderful carved finial on the top and a downward facing finial below. The table has excellent colour and condition.
