Circa 1800. A stylish and unusual Ceylonese ebony and teak cabinet on stand. The moulded ebonized cornice with a simple frieze, with two full length three panel doors each with engraved brass strap hinged and an elegant pierced escutcheon. Inside the cupboard there are two brass rails and two shelves (removable). Beneath the doors stylish ebonized mouldings the base with three narrow drawers with elegant cast brass handles with pierced back-plates, with scratched carving on the edges. The cabinet rests on four large bulbous tapering and fluted legs finishing on a ring turned foot. Excellent colour and patination.
