This is a small antique spice jar. A Japanese, ceramic decorative pot, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

• Appealing traditional decor with cheerful colour
• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Cream coloured ceramic with a patterned ground
• Decorated with colourful figures across the fascia and naive landscape to domed lid
• Brown coloured bands with engraved detail accentuates the neck and lid edge
• Character mark present to the circular base
