This is an exceptional Georgian Oak Chest of fine quality and small size, measuring only 35.5 inches wide by 32 inches high.
It dates to the last quarter of the 18th C, and has 4 full width graduated drawers with cock beaded edges.
The drawers have their original linings of oak dovetailed sides and pine bottoms.
The casing is all original, solid oak with its original pine backboards. It has a deep ogee moulding to the base and its original bracket feet.
The handles are period brass sheraton ovals which fit the original pin centres. They are replacements. The escutcheons are inlaid lozenges of contrasting oak
In excellent condition throughout, it has a deep nut brown colour and patina which is superb.
I highly recommend this chest of drawers.
