Circa 1930, good set of 4 mahogany Cockpen (Dalhousie) chairs by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh. The classic patterned lattice back, with shaped uprights and rails. The arms are curved and held in place by stylish uprights. The curved seats have stuffover fabric. At the front the legs are slightly sabre and the back legs are turned and slightly outswept, all united by circular stretchers. Clean and sturdy.
