Circa 1800, set of 4 George III mahogany dining chairs/side chairs. The chairs have tall slightly curved backs, the solid top and side rails with a beaded edge. In the centre are 4 upright splats which are ribbed. There is a drop in seat pad with wonderful hand stitched needlepoint depicting flowers and exotic birds, contained in a mahogany frame with a rounded edge and simple apron at the front. The front legs are square and tapering, and the back are square and outswept, united by H stretchers. Good colour and excellent condition.
