rare georgian inlaid writing cabinet

Circa 1810, rare late Georgian inlaid writing cabinet. The rectangular top with open foliate design has a three quarters gallery in ormolu, urn and shell inlay and satinwood banding. There are four central inlaid graduated drawers with original brass handles. The 2 cupboards are to the sides with internal drawers and folio cabinet, and it all stands on original bracket feet.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
