queen anne style burr walnut dining room suite

Circa 1930, unusual Queen Anne style burr walnut dining room suite, comprising a twin pedestal dining table and set of 8 walnut and burr walnut chairs. The table comprises of 2 D ends and one additional leaf. The fore edge has foliate carving with slight gilding and the burr walnut veneers match all the way down. Beneath the top are two sliding rails which help support the additional leaf, and brass clips to hold it in place. All standing on 2 pedestals with a carved central section with foliate carving and gilding, and beneath this a tripod of carved cabriole legs finishing in curled carved toes. Excellent condition, sturdy and functional.

Size 74cm high x 91cm wide x 228.5cm long (leaf 44.5cm).The chairs are walnut and burr walnut with a carved top rail and upholstered central back. The armchairs have stylish curved arms finishing in carved acanthus leaves. At the back are stylish outswept feet which finish on square pad feet, and at the front are carved cabriole legs with foliate carved knees and finishing in a curled toe with a carved acanthus leaf.Side chairs 116cm high x 56cm wide x 50cm deep.
Armchairs 116cm high x 60cm wide x 54cm deep.Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
