Circa 1930, unusual Queen Anne style burr walnut dining room suite, comprising a twin pedestal dining table and set of 8 walnut and burr walnut chairs. The table comprises of 2 D ends and one additional leaf. The fore edge has foliate carving with slight gilding and the burr walnut veneers match all the way down. Beneath the top are two sliding rails which help support the additional leaf, and brass clips to hold it in place. All standing on 2 pedestals with a carved central section with foliate carving and gilding, and beneath this a tripod of carved cabriole legs finishing in curled carved toes. Excellent condition, sturdy and functional.
