pair of french mahogany pedestals/bedside cabinets

Circa 1830, pair of French mahogany circular pedestals/bedside cabinets, both with green variegated marble tops. On the first, beneath the top is a large flame mahogany bezel and four mahogany columns with cast capitals and bases. In the centre is small circular shelf and at the base a flame mahogany circular base the same size as the top. The whole piece stands on four stylish tapering legs finishing in brass toes. Its companion is slightly taller with the same wonderful flame mahogany apron but this time is in the form of a cylindrical bedside cabinet. The door is flamed mahogany with a brass knob handle with a foliate cast flowerhead. It opens to reveal a porcelain lined section at the top and open section at the bottom. There are three turned half columns which also have similar capitals to the other bedside.
