A pair of Georgian (circa 1800/10) Windsor armchairs in Oak and Elm. Identical in style and from the same workshop or maker. The maker has left a distinguishable piece of detailing to both sides of the ends of the arm rests (please see photographs). Elm seat, single stretcher, ring turned legs and plain spindles, square dowel joints in places. Good colour and patina, some sporadic very old worm flight holes. No obvious old repairs, both sit correctly on the floor i.e. no wobble. One of the seat pads has a warp (please see photographs) which is not unusual for these particular type of chairs and has no impact on use/comfort etc. This chair is also very slightly smaller than the other.
Presented cleaned and re waxed
