Circa 1815, regency circular oak and pollard oak breakfast table by William Trotter of Edinburgh. With its solid oak top, large 12cm banding of pollard oak, simple fore-edge and shallow cross-banded and beaded frieze with further pollard oak veneering. The table has two large stretchers and a large block for stability. There is a carved column, turned and with downward facing acanthus leaves, a tapering fluted section and circular collar. The table stands on a raised shaped platform and 4 sabre and ribbed legs finishing on a cast brass toe with brass castors.
