Circa 1850, oak metamorphic library steps and chair. With heraldic shield to the back and 4 rondels which cover old repairs leading on to a large oak seat. There is a hinged section to the front and a bracket to the side, locking in for extra stability and forming a 4 tread set of steps. Sturdy and functional, the seat held in place by brass flush screws.
