Circa 1970, large circular solid oak dining table by Robert Mouseman Thompson. With the classic carved mouse on one of the uprights, the signature of all pieces by Mouseman Thompson. It has a classic Mouseman ripple top, achieved by cabinet makers removing/scooping small oysters of wood from a standing position. The table gains stability from the large cruciform undercarriage and central oak column with shaped wood and peg dowels bracing it. The base has another cruciform stretcher and sits flush on the floor at the front.
