Circa 1890, nest of 4 mahogany inlaid tables, the tops with a raised ebonised beading near the fore edge, kingwood banding and an ebonised string inlay on the edge. The fore edge of each of the tables is also in kingwood. The sides of the tables has a small shaped apron on which on each side are two elegant spider legs with fine turnings and ring supports from top to bottom. The tables tuck neatly into each other on a small groove. At the back is a curved stretcher which is polished and shaped and this is the retainer to stop the tables sliding through each other. All the tables stand on a trestle style base with simple but elegant shaped feet. Excellent colour and condition.
