Circa 1900. An unusual and stylish Louis XV style mahogany carved and pierced fretwork, three-part folding screen. The top with architectural pediment with open fretwork beneath. With fabric panels to the main body, the screen has seven bronze double-sided medallions fixed to it in rondels and dated from 1789 and all relate to’ Napoleon Bonaparte’. The bronzes include famous battles, Josephine and other historical events, the two hinged sides of the screen with shaped and pierced fretwork panels can be adjusted and folded left or right.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
