Circa 1860, mid Victorian carved walnut ladies easy chair. The chair has a wraparound walnut frame with a stylish carving on the central back, and profusely carved foliate arm rests. Beneath the seat is a half round moulding, and from this protrude the two front legs which are turned, fluted and carved, finishing on brass and porcelain castors. The back legs are turned and outswept, finishing on similar castors. The whole chair has been upholstered in a green damask fabric in excellent condition. Great example of Victorian cabinet making.
