mahogany sewing table with brass trim, circa 1820

French made sewing table, circa 1820.
The table is mahogany with brass beading to the front edge of the top and to the panels of each side. There is also brass beading on the front of the table, although for the drawer only the bottom beading is brass, the side beading is mahogany. This looks original to the table.

The top lifts up and has a lightly padded silk panel for pins. Two mahogany covers open to the side to reveal two sandalwood lined compartments which are 4"(10cm) deep.
There are two keys, which lock the top and the drawer.
