Circa 1970s. A stylish and elegant mahogany drum table probably by ‘Arthur Brett of Norwich. The top with insert brown gilded and tooled leather with the tooling and the gilding following the form of the table with smaller segments on the outside, finishing with broad mahogany crossbanding, with a ribbed fore-edge, and an arrangement of 8 drawers in the frieze, four drawers and four faux drawers, all resting on a turned and tapering fluted stem with four reeded saber legs, finishing with a cast brass paw.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
