Circa 1900, classic Orkney chair, made in beech, oak, and pitch pine. The large size Orkney chair, with its classic Orcadian woven back and top rail over a solid seat, and two stylish arms with little curly ends held in position by rectangular uprights. All stands on a pitch pine frame, with its apron at the front, square tapering legs at the front, swept legs at the back. The chair is in good condition, very sturdy.
