A large and well made late Georgian bow fronted chest of 2 short over 3 long drawers in Mahogany/flame Mahogany with 'French' bracket feet This is a good quality piece with original inlaid hardwood knobs, cock beaded Oak lined drawers and brass escutcheons. The drawers are robust, have fine dovetails to all corners, run smoothly, have a lovely colour to the flame Mahogany veneer and the cock beading is all present One small piece of damage on one drawer (please see photographs). Polish finish in very good order, particularly on the top/drawer fronts where the colour is even and free from water/ink marks etc is some very light scratches/marks under the polish commensurate with age. An attractive piece whose shellac finish is in very good order with a deep rich red-brown Mahogany colour.
Presented cleaned, repaired as appropriate and re waxed
