This is a large antique feature lamp. An Italian, gilt metal and marble heavy table light, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

• Striking and substantial, with superb decorative appeal
• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Gilt metal vase form profuse with fascinating detail
• Quality black Portoro marble base with white vein interest

• In classical vase form, with two caryatid figures as vestigial handles
• To the main body, relief figures engage in sword fights upon frieze panels
• Foliate and scroll motif throughout continues the neo-classical decor
• Fascinating miniature portrait masks adorn the stem below lobed detail

• Pleasingly heavy in the hand at a weight of 11.8kg (26 lb)
• Accepts a standard small bayonet bulb, situated under the broad pleated shade
• Dressed with a generous length of cable, with British Standards compliant UK 3-pin plug (Type G)
